2-y-o ratings Sunday and BH Monday 30/31 August
Thirteen races to get through over the busy bank holiday so I’m posting them all early but hope to update on Monday.
Sunday 30 August
The first race has a Channon runner as top-rated but based on the merits of the two trainers I would expect Sulwaan to improve past the top-rated. I don’t encourage backing short priced runners from the Channon yard as the guy doesn’t appear to have a clue.

BH Monday 31 August
My nemisis, Channon, appears to have a ‘fly in the ointment’ of most of the Bank Holiday juvenille races. He has two in the Champion 2-y-o Trophy which would have a chance if they run to their best but the problem is knowing when that could be, so I prefer Hold Your Colour. However, I would be interested in Leleyf in the Warwick Nursery, back in trip, on a good mark and should be a decent price. Frustratingly, in the trappy Newcastle nursery I have 3 joint top-rated but I wouldn’t be surprised to see one of the Channon runners ‘return to form’ at a big price.
