I’m brimming with confidence in the ratings after a superb week culminating in a £4000 pickup on various multiples from 4 bets advised in this forum topic on Wednesday regarding multi-race dutching. Onto Newmarket on Thursday and the first day of the Champions meeting. A word of warning on the ratings on maiden races. My ratings require 1, usually 2 or 3 good solid runs to be completely accurate so 2yo maidens should be treaded with carefully. The best you can do is look at trainer form (current and course) combined with sire statistics but even then some juveniles are green, some more forward than others etc etc. You can read some 2yo sire stats here in the forum.

It’s stating the obvious somewhat but the opening maiden will probably rest between Fareej (Kingmambo/Sadler’s Wells mare) and Blissful Moment (Dynaformer/Desert Prince mare). Both these sires have excellent strike-rates with their juveniles while their respective stables of Godolphin and Stoute fire in winners in the Autumn months. However Cecil and Gosden have both won this race a couple of time so Protaras and Mass Rally would also be of interest particularly Protaras with Cecil in such good form of late and the market could be a key guide. It’s really a race to watch for the future as are most backend maidens run on Graded tracks.

Cecil also has an interesting one in Manifest who was deeply impressive last time. He has a bit more on his plate here with Free Agent and Akmal but he does top my reliability ratings. The race again though looks trappy.

Paul Cole has won the 3.45 a few times recently and has another strong chance with Mata Keranjang.

Inxile looks to hold a strong chance in the 4.20 but Dandy Man could go well on a track he has proven himself on in the past with the stable in form. Noble Storm is another danger and I’d be surprised if the winner came from outside of these 3.

The 4.55 and I have Filligree and Artistic License top but don’t rule out Vitoria whose trainer has the best strike-rate of the 3 at the course.

Finally, the 5.30 looks to be heading the way of Proponent.

I have a problem with my odds on the sheet at the moment but I will post up any selections as always in the forum before racing. There are a number of better options away from Newmarket on Thursday. Here is a speculative multi-race dutch with selections at slightly bigger odds than today. I am putting these up early to see if prices the evening/early morning are any better/worse or indifferent to early bookie prices or BetfairSP. I will also be doing these in a Canadian bet which is 26 bets consisting of 5-folds, 4-folds, trebles, doubles and singles.
