Hi Goodwood
Thanks for the comments. You will be pleased to know I've stopped doing lay bets. They ended profitably but they just don't fit in well with my selection method - I prefer to see mine win !

It's a good question about banks. I have 2 separate banks that I use for Olympic bets and multi-dutch bets. Generally, I have the 3 bets known as Olympic bets which are pretty much automatic selections from the ratings. However, I am reviewing these as I am beginning to think that I don't want to have rigid set rules for betting and agree with you about having too many selections.

The real money spinner though are the multi-dutch bets. You may see 3 or 4 selections as too many but I view it as one bet. The reasoning behind this bet is to return a profit should only 1 horse win and that is primarily what I aim for. The bonus with dutching across multiple races is that you can get a much better return should 2 or more win and the total dutch stake is set at 5% of the bank. These are the races I concentrate on but sometimes don't even have any until later in the week when the quality of the racing picks up.

I also occasionally have infrequent 'Value bet' but only on the big races like Khyber Kim and Tranquil Sea last weekend but sometimes I spot one during the week which is overpriced with a lot of factors in it's favour. These are generally only 1pt or 2pt at most, often e/w at more generous odds.

I have been doing golf but the season is ending now so they are going to stop and to be honest I would rather concentrate on the racing.

It's up to the subscriber which ones they decide to follow. I follow them all but as you can see you would turn a very decent profit just following multi-dutch bets on there own.

Hope this helps a few things regarding strategy/bets etc.

Cheers
