Cambridgeshire Handicap and Haydock Trends

Cambridgeshire Handicap and Haydock Trends

Before I get stuck into the trends selections for this weekends big handicaps, be sure to download the FREE TraIner Track Stats Jumps Season 2018/19 bible. My good friend Matt Bisogno has put together an awesome list of trainers to follow along with a very informative video on how these stats were compiled and some exciting news on how you can track them automatically and a very special offer. £18k+ profit over the last 5 years at Betfair SP is something to be really interested in and I’ll be following 5es this over the jumps season combined with trends picks.

Onto Saturday’s trends, and one of the final big flat handicaps on Saturday, the Cambridgeshire where there is a clear trends qualifier, but before that let’s have a look at the two big handicaps at Haydock. There are also some Group races and you can always follow the trends here and shortlist them using GeeGeez Gold racecards, which you can subscribe to for just £1 for the first month.

Haydock 2:05 BORDERFORCE 8/1

Haydock 3:15 DAKOTA GOLD 11/2

Newmarket 3:40 MORDIN 28/1

Ayr Silver & Gold Cup Trends Picks

Ayr Silver & Gold Cup Trends Picks

Another nice priced 25/1 winner last weekend, let’s see if we can keep this good run going. I’ve taken a look at the trends for all the key handicaps on Saturday. All trends and analysis performed using GeeGeez Gold, get a 30-day trial for just £1 here.

Selections below…

Newbury 1:45 STYLEHUNTER 6/1 & BERINGER 12/1

Ayr 2:00 MIKMAK 12/1

Ayr 3:50 SUMMERGHAND 33/1

The Ayr Gold Cup posed a slight conundrum, weeded it down to 4 horses, Ice Age, Kimberella, Summerghand and Golden Apollo but then we have a conundrum due to none of them hitting both of these 10/16 trends -:

10/16 – Aged 4 or 5 years-old
10/16 – Finished in the top 4 last time out

So in this instance, we look at the next lot of trends down, where only the 5-year old Summerghand hits -:

9/16 – Rated 90-100
9/16 – Came from a double-figure stall
9/16 – Had raced at Ayr before

it would not surprise me to see Golden Apollo run well if there is a low draw bias, especially as it’s the right age, has raced at Ayr and is in the right ratings band so could be worth a win cover.

No trends for today’s Bronze Cup but I do like Hanagan on a front-runner and they outperform in this race, so GABRIAL THE DEVIL at 10/1 can go well. Best of luck with your bets.

St Leger and Portland Trends

I’m in sunny Spain at the moment but thought I’d take a look at the trends for both the St Leger and the Portland Handicap using GeeGeez racecards and trends.

The Portland has two trends standouts at big odds and both represent each-way value and should go well.

The St Leger is also straightforward and our good friends Appleby and Buick who won for us last time and again another each-way value shout.

Best of luck, don’t forget you can grab GeeGeez Gold for £1 for a 30-day trial here.

York Ebor – Strong Trends Selection

York Ebor – Strong Trends Selection

Before we get into the main event, I ran the trends for the Strensall but it was hard to split between Ghostwatch, Coolongolook and Candidate – all 3 are worthy of closer inspection. I'm liking the 16/1 about GHOSTWATCH for Godolphin with Buick perhaps able to take advantage of stall 1. Looks worth an e/w wager at those odds.

The Ebor is much more straightforward, only one strong selection with WHISKEY SOUR who represents a solid each-way bet at 9/1 for Mullins and Buick. Hits all the key trends where none of his other rivals do.

These were easy to find using GeeGeez Trends and their Gold Racecards – took less than 10 minutes. There have been a number of updates to GeeGeez since I've been away travelling, read all about the awesome new features here.

Royal Ascot Saturday Trends Picks

Royal Ascot Saturday Trends Picks

I am in Thailand at the moment, enjoying spending my winnings from a few big-priced trends winners this season and from the last decade of betting. I had a spare 15 minutes so took a look at the Golden Jubilee and Wokingham Stakes this Saturday using the trends elimination method and GeeGeez Gold racecards. It took me 15 minutes and here they are.

Royal Ascot 4:20 SPIRIT OF VALOR 1pt e/w @ 50/1

Royal Ascot 5:00 GILGAMESH 1pt e/w @ 16/1

Dante Trends and Derby Ante-Post Bet

Dante Trends and Derby Ante-Post Bet

Nice profit on Wednesday thanks to Hamada scoring at 5/2 for the 2pt win bet. So far I am really happy about the trends performance. There are a couple of decent events on Thursday and I've run the trends and arrived at a few nice selections and an ante-post Derby Punt. All I ask is you check out GeeGeez Gold as there are profits like this to be found every day using their tools and racecards.

YORK 2:20 ORIENT CLASS 1pt e/w @ 28/1

The Dante at 3:30 is reduced down to Crossed Baton, Mildenberger and Nordic Lights. Although I like the look of the Nordic Lights, I'm going to go with the Gosden runner CROSSED BATON due to the yard's recent record in the race (2 of last 3) and his decent win last time out in the Epsom Derby Trial. In fact, given that the Dante winner has placed 8 times from 16 in the Derby and 4 have won, I think it's worth an each-way punt for that race too.

YORK 3:30 CROSSED BATON 1pt win @ 11/2
Epsom Derby CROSSED BATON 1pt e/w @ 33/1

I like this style of bet as if Crossed Baton flops, then we likely lose 3pts, worse case scenario. If he wins the Dante but loses the Derby then we make some money, if he wins the Dante or runs very close and places in the Derby we make profit and if he wins both races, we are quids in…it's a calculated risk but he has some trends in his favour and I also like the breeding and the combo of Gosden/Dettori team as I think they feed off each other.
