I will try and do as many races as possible over the next 14 days, here is the first.

Cheltenham 14:40

William Hill Trophy Handicap Chase

£80000.00 added, 5yo plus, 3m 110y, Class 1

6 yo's have no placed efforts so far from this small sample, and the winning weight is less than 10-13 since 2004.

Days since run (DSR) does seem important, but but the results do not show or account for bad weather.

Age looks to be important, if you can forgive the 50/1 "fluke".

Glenfarclas Handicap Chase

£45000.00 added, 5yo plus, 3m 7f, Class 2

A new race in 2005 when the festival became a 4 day event.

What interests me here is bottom weights, 0 from 16 and age 8 or lower and all winning Sp's are between 2 and 5/1. With such small samples this information should be used with other methods and this applies to all the Cheltenham data I post up.
